Thank you, Chaplain Swank, for the message this morning. It reminded me of one of my favorite tunes by the Sounds of Blackness called Optimistic ("You can win as long as you keep your head to the sky...") - and I thought about how we fall into the habit of looking all around us for answers when they're right there if we just "look up".

It's so kind of you to take the time to share with the troops and the rest of us here in the Canteen.

thank you. i am in fact having a wonderful sunday, just as you stated in your note to me this lord's day.

i just returned home after having lunch with college-days friends at a local restaurant--not fancy, just down-home food and lots of laughs.
