If libertarians do become stronger, my vote will have to go to their opposition. I'm not liberal at all. I don't think it's good for America. I have kids.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?....I have kids too...and I exercise the right to raise them the way that my wife and I see fit....without government intervention.

I get it...your one issue is: with legalized pot your kids would be bombarded with outside influences that would coerce them to smoke it and become pot-heads right? (as if they can't get it already anyway).

No, that's a matter of record. In Bush's two years as President he has, by the record, proven that he is actually less conservative than Clinton.

LOL. And how has the Libertarian president done? Oh. There's never been one! LOL.

But, at least Lautenberg is alive. In the last few elections the Democratic Party has actually thought it proper to run dead candidates.

You have GOT to check out barbrastreisand.com... she has listed the candidates she endorses ( of course we have yet to find a single one that was either GOP or Ind) and in Hawaii's second district, she actually endorses, and I quote, "Patsy Mink HI-02 (deceased)". The corpse makes a better candidate than any living person in her eyes. Simply amazing.

That's my point. What if I'd prefer my kids not be exposed to Liberal Libertarian plagues and stuff? Prostitutes, Aids, drugs,....They'll have to live in the sludge. Why would I want that?
If I wanted that, I'd vote Democrat.

And how has the Libertarian president done?

Washington did pretty well. He warned us of entangling ourselves in foreign alliances and was the only President who, prior to obtaining office, rejected both a monarchy and a dictatorship granted him by the continental congress.

At any rate, we're not talking about libertarians here. We're talking about the "conservatism" of George Bush which has been shown to be non-existent.

What is the exact definition of "Third Way" socialism in the United States?

It is still the same old socialism we all know and despise.

When Tom Hayden was taking over the city government of Santa Monica, they had to disguise their real purpose. They came up with the campaign brand of "Economic Democracy". Hard to be against that, right? it would benefit the poor, right?

Now, 30 years later, Santa Monica is one of the most expensive cities in which to live.

How have the republicans kept your kids from being able to purchase drugs in their school?

At least they try to stop it. Why endorse it like Libertarians and make it easier to get?

I knew that was it. Your kids are going to get exposed to all those things anyway (not AIDS...I wouldnt consider that a Libertarian plague BTW)...unless they live in a bubble, which I'll assume they dont. Teaching your kids consequences of their actions is probably a more effective method of having them deal with the things you believe are not moral(your right) then working to abolish them all. Alcohol is legal...what is keeping/will keep your kids from the ABUSE of alcohol?

I wonder.

Not at all. It is prohibition which makes it possible.

When has the republican party ever suppported the second amendment?

Bump for that. I want "gun control lite" as much as I want "socialism lite". A vote for "gun control lite" is still a vote against the 2nd Amendment, and I don't vote against the 2nd Amendment.

To each their own. In my opinion, Democrats and Libertarians are the same. The only difference is who pays for the clean up after the social orgy.

You can't help but change the subject. I'd be embarrassed too if I had called Bush a conservative.

I don't vote against the 2nd Amendment.

You then vote for "gun control radical" by electing Demos.
