They had a couple of representatives of nation of islam on the show who gave the usual canned statements about how islam is a religion of peace and enlightenment, we fear that this incident will cause backlash by bigots and racists against the peace loving american muslim community etc. etc. etc
If you read between the lines, they pretty much said "We're not ready to openly attack you white devils and infidels yet, so we want peace and friendship until we are fully prepared to kill you in your sleep".

It pandered for about half of it. Bill got sick of the spinning. Why not have 2 people on who have differing opinions? Not agree with eachother? Super Gay
