I can provide URLs for Canadian pro-US-statehood sites if anyone is interested - there are a number of them. Some are province specific (Albert, USA) and some are all-Canada (United North America). Several have forums where the pros and cons of US statehood are debated. Also search on James Bredin. There is also a Canadian Republican Party starting up (a few years old, maybe).

My point is: there are many more appreciative Canadians and conservative Canadians than their media and government would have us or them believe.
