I guess what bugs me the most about this issue is that I am a Capitalist. If the Intercontinental wants to cancel their contract, they have every right to do so. Doesn't a good Capitalist honor his contracts?

In most contracts, the owner of the establishment has the right to include a clause stipulating they have the right to cancel the contract at any time. If this was indeed in the contract, then, yes, as a good Capitalist, they should honor their contract, and probably did. If not, then the Falun Gong has the law on their side.
1. What is capitalism?
Capitalism is a social system based on the principle of individual rights. The term capitalism is used here in the broader philosophical political sense, and not in the narrower economic sense, i.e. a free-market.
