Remember how Eisner of Disney said they could do without the business of Southern Baptists and Catholics? Turned out he was wrong. Disney has tanked bad, even worse and sooner than the rest of the stock market.

Disney has tanked due to its purchase of ABC, and other ill-timed acquisitions.

Attendance at ALL theme parks is down since 9/11. Before 9/11, the Disney parks were the only thing keeping Disney from tanking completely. There is simply no evidence that boycotts by Catholics or Baptists or Mormons or anybody else contributed significantly to Disney's losses. And, Disney never said it could do without the business of those churches. I don't recall the Catholic Church ever backing a boycott, in any kind of organized way.

Large boycotts don't work because it takes a great deal of motivation, for a long period of time, for them to have even a minimal effect. And, most people don't even know about them, no matter how much a group thinks it gets its message out.

The reason to buy Fuji is that they are a dollar or two cheaper per package. Film is film; the differences come into the quality of paper used for printing (most of that is Kodak) and developing.

If a boycott of Kodak makes you feel good, by all means, do it. I haven't bought a roll of Kodak in ten years.

Sorry bud, but film is not film, though most folks won't care about the differences, or notice.

As for me, untill now I used Kodak almost exclusively and I will buying A LOT more Fuji.

Before 9/11, the Disney parks were the only thing keeping Disney from tanking completely.

Attendance at the parks was going downhill for a couple of years before 9/11.  But as far as the boycott is concerned, most other options are worse.

The idea that Disney was tanking over a Baptist boycott is ludicrous. Disney has been having trouble at its parks because of a bad business model related to lack foot friendliness, cost of food and other expenses, length of stay, and philosophy where attractions aren't upgraded, but new ones are built. River Country has been closed for quite a while, and an entire resort has been completed for 2 years but still hasn't been opened because the crowds aren't supported. Meanwhile, they still can't handle moving even diminished crowds from place to place, and there are long end of night lines to get to monorails, buses and ferries.
