Sadly, I agree. The lack of response to Bali was disturbing. I tried to write it off by saying we were too absorbed at that moment by the Iraq war resolution. And that it didn't actually happen in Australia. We'll just have to see how this plays out.

Judging by most Americans, the war on terror is concluded. it will take a situation similar to Moscow, working out disastrously, to truly awaken us it seems.
Besides, we can't let trivial items like world war against evil get in the way of our shopping for the latest fragrance and shoes that match our belts.

But seriously, outside of flowers and such at consulates, what else can Americans do? What's appropriate?
