MOSCOW (AP) Armed men entered a Moscow theater Wednesday and took the audience hostage, the Federal Security Service said.
The theater was holding a performance of the musical Nord-Ost, one of the Russian capital's most popular productions.
The Interfax news agency said one of its reporters was inside the theater at the time of the raid. She told them in a telephone call that the men had fired into the air and were preventing the audience from leaving, the agency said.
Police units were on their way to the scene.

They are ISLEMMINGS, running full speed for a cliff they don't see in the name of Jihad for Allah.
They just can't cope with the modern world and are self destructing.

And if they don't choose the right side, they're on the target list...If Megawati doesn't choose the right side, there is going to be a coup circa 1965 and its resulting bloodbath.
Indo won't fall so easily as the jihadists think it will.

C'mon Mr. Bush, just one ittybitty nuke, please, just one, once, Please.
For the children, then. :)) Ours, so they don't have to deal with this.

Can someone get the email links for Fox and CNN and PMSNBC? Fox's New alert is Chief Moose to hold press conference at 6 p.m. He keeps coming out and saying nothing.

Stratfor comments on the Moscow situation:
Stratfor sources within the Russian foreign ministry say the latest development already is shaping Moscow's diplomatic strategy. They say Moscow will pressure Washington to refocus its efforts on al Qaeda and drop plans to attack Iraq. Few outside the Bush administration believe Iraq has substantial links to al Qaeda. Russia wants to emphasize that, in the aftermath of the Bali bombing and now the Moscow hostage situation, al Qaeda poses a clear and present danger to all countries.

Vesti.ru confirms that all children have been released. What about the one with the gun? I was thinking the release of lots of hostages might be how that get the core of their group outside.

I just fired off a pissed off e-mail at FOX News for not covering this like they should. It is pathetic that Gibson just did a 4 minute segment on what goes on in Moose's mind. Give me a freakin break. This is huge news.

I'd like to see them helped along substantially. I've been advocating restart of neutron bomb development and deployment for about a year now.

good for you.

Nice try Pooty Poot, but you don't defeat rats or roaches or weeds by killing the ones you see.
You go to their nests and burn them out.
Don't worry, we'll make sure the Iraqis pay you what they owe.
To: mvonfr
Please -- this isn't Al Qaeda. Its Chechnya. Bush will say give me mine and I'll give you yours. Let me knock out Iraq and you can knock out Chechnya.

The Russians need to realize that we can do both. How about we agree that the best way to handle AQ is to take out the terror masters. If the Russians take down Iran, we'll take down Iraq. I bet Syria and the Saudis and the Palestinians start getting real cooperative after that happens.

For what its worth:
A bullet through the skull of each terrorist is the only peaceful ending here. Anything else is a tragedy. Besides, what can you leverage against a man excited about killing himself? Im so cynical I believe that even the destruction of Mecca wouldnt make a differencethese are people fully possessed by evil.
I'm afraid this won't end well.

If Russia and the US truly cooperate, no rat hole on this planet will be safe for the islamist cowards.

We'll never stop terror unless we eliminate the Saudi money machine that funds it all.
To: Naspino
That's a very possible compromise position and may well be how this evolves. Reality is, though, that Al Qaeda has their tentacles all through Chechnya.
