Very well said. Preaching to the converted usually doesn't get you anywhere other than to alienate the people in the middle who otherwise may be persuadable.
She could make the exact same points, use the exact same facts, and simply state it in a less obnoxious manner. Humor is sometimes a great way to disarm an opponent, but she appears incapable of using that particular weapons. That's one thing that makes Mark Steyn so effective. He can be caustic as hell, but his humor makes it harder to demonize him.
Coulter skewers the pompous frauds who abound on the Left. She makes them appear ridiculous by showing you how ridiculously funny they are.
Mark Steyn does the same, but usually his targets are Englsih and Europeans, sometimes Asian Islamo-fascists, not our domestic variety. I find both Coulter and Steyn vastly amusing and right, too.
The Left doesn't understand anything less than a baseball bat in the face. I happen to know this for a fact, having been involved in the culture wars for quite some time.
I think Ann's humor is quite amusing, much in the style of Bierce and Clemens at their best.
Steyn has always been one of my favorites, but he doesn't get their panties in a wad quite the way Ann does. I like listening to their voices go up in the high-pitched whine of the recently de-nutted, and seeing the foam-flecks at the corners of their mouths. Did you get a load of the Forehead foaming about Coulter, especially after he just got back from lapping the altar of the Bent One's crotch and beheld Ann's heresies about his masters? Classic!!!
