We can't be afraid of this sniper

Easy for you to say. Try going about your business pack groceries in your trunk around here without thinking you could be next.

It's a good idea to be careful. I was only meaning not to let him dictate your life. What are you doing in a Socialist state like Maryland anyway?

I used to live in Alexandria and then Arlington and have plenty of family in Fairfax. Have people in the DC area started talking about making this a positive thing - by forming community watch groups who routinely patrol their neighborhoods?

Gas stations could give out free coffee and cokes to people who want to do watch duty. Neighbors could use this as an opportunity to get to know each other a bit better while performing a valuable service. While the threat of being shot obviously exists, I wouldn't expect the sniper(s) to shoot into a group of people looking for him.

Coward! No wonder this country is run by Democrat wimps. Everyone wants a guarantee that life will be exactly what they want it to be. If you live in the area, you stand a better chance of getting hit by lightening than getting shot at by the sniper. You probably have a greater chance of drowning in your bath tub. Grow up. Show a little spine. When your time is up, its up.
