Well, we can thank the cable news channels for this. In a desperate attempt to keep this going for ratings, they will pull out anyone than can place an "expert" label on to talk nonsense 24/7. It is getting tiresome.

As someone who's worked in journalism (print) for 25 years, I agree. When something is happening, 24/7 news is wonderful. The problem is, once the initial news has happened and is out there and an adequate amount of reporting and commentary has been done, then sometimes there really isn't anything else to say about the story. But try to tell management and advertisers that there's nothing else to say. They still have 24/7 to fill. So they fill time with talking heads.
