The most ridiculous reporting from CNN when the Ashland shooting occured on the weekend over there was their cub journalists (very young, weekend crew), screaming the exact location of police roadblocks and which routes were shut down and even saying, 'if you want to avoid traffic, try such-and-such road'. I just about had a fit. The numbskulls addressed their comments not only to people who would want to avoid traffic, the sniper also could have picked it up through cohorts.
The people on TV have no idea of citizenship first. To them, it is premiere that viewers know how and precisely where to avoid 'inconveniences', rather than snub the details so the assailants don't know where to go.
Our democracy and right to know in action. I cannot imagine this in any other democracy or in non-democracies.

A rule in science and philosophy stating that entities should not be multiplied needlessly. This rule is interpreted to mean that the simplest of two or more competing theories is preferable and that an explanation for unknown phenomena should first be attempted in terms of what is already known. Also called law of parsimony.
[After William of OCKHAM.]

"...we may be getting a preview of future attacks on America." That's another reason why Regime Change in Iraq is sooo important...we can't just sit back on the defensive and wait for these nutjobs to instill fear into our daily lives!! We must destroy the root of it before they start the additional suicide bombings on our soil!!

Basically it states, "Whichever theory/hypothesis/explanation that requires the least amount of assumptions is usually the correct one"
For instance, the sniper could be a woman outraged at pro-lifers. However, that requires an extraordinary amount of assumptions to essentially invent. Instead, look at the sum total of facts and select which hypothesis requires the fewest amount of groundless assumptions.

Yes sneaky pete is a bit caustic over his views. But we do have an ATF, FBI, CIA, NSA, and many more before we even get to state and locals.
Putting a second crew on the Titanic would not have done much to keep it afloat! A Homeland Security Agency is just symptomatic of the complete rot at all the other agencies.
When a manager needs new employees he/she needs to go before the company and show that at the present 85% efficiency of existing staff that the job cannot be done. A manager who makes a case for new hires when the existing employees are not getting the job done is just part of the problem.
It makes about as much sense as hiring a new teacher to teach in the same classroom each time the students fail a test. Eventually the teachers will outnumber the students.

"Effective immediately if you wish to live your life in peace, follow a few simple rules to respect Allah and his prophet Muhammed." Effective five minutes after that or a similar statement, there will not be a mosque in America. And all the arson investigators will be on vacation.

I don't believe anybody just plain nuts could've done what they've done. Nor do I.

i don't want to appear racist, but this isn't the MO of a black person. these shootings are too controlled and planned and the victims are too diverse.

Pertaining to William of Occam's Law of parismony....hmmm....don't have the exact latin handy but, basically meaning the simplest explanation is most probable.

Fox just reported the shooting is in the Aspen Hill area, what a slap in the face to the police and fbi. Hit the same area twice. (if it's sniper related of course) Sniper to Moose: Can you hear me NOW?

Just reported on ABC news:
Today's victim has died of his wounds.

One would think that, but I GUARANTEE you, the American sheeple would do nothing. Not that they'd convert, but they'd do no such thing.
Heck, if USA started turning into Israel, you'd only see citizens asking government to intern Muslims, but you'd see only a handful of vigilante incidents.

I am not talking about an average Black person, I am talking about a militanat Black Muslim who sympathizes with Al Qaeda and communism, like the Portland terrorists. The leader of that group was highly educated and grew up in the area of the shootings.

Good point. but isn't that what these people wanted. a few million emigres dispossessed and willing to fight for the cause.
