The Psycho Sniper says he wants blood money to end his terrifying murder spree - and he's opened a dialogue with cops to negotiate the payout.

The Beltway sharpshooter made his demand in a three-page note found after his latest attack, on Saturday night, federal law-enforcement sources told The Post.

Considering that this story went out of its way to mention the Bush-Cheney, Marine Corps and NRA stickers on the
white van, it's extremely disappointing that they shied
away from also mentioning the MEXICAN FLAG sticker that
was visible in some TV close-ups in the bottom left corner
of the rear window. That's the first sticker I noticed.
I didn't see the Bush-Cheney sticker on the bumper until
very late because so many of the networks had covered it up
unintentionally with all of their "breaking news" graphics
at the bottom of the screen.

TIP #1 to illegal aliens: It's probably not a good idea
to drive around with a Mexican flag sticker on your car
when you're here illegally. And just because you complement
it with a Bush-Cheney sticker doesn't mean you get
immediate immunity! LOL! (Well, unless Bush goes ahead and
foolishly grants amnesty.)

Sounds rather like the "Scorpio" killer. A case for this fellow:

Please pardon my ignorance/skepticism, but how reliable is the New York Post?

Furthermore, why would any law enforcement official release this much detailed information so early in this particular shooting’s investigation?

I could be wrong, but something doesn’t smell right here.

How do you know they haven't?

My gut says the ransom is a diversion.

It reminds me of the movie Die Hard. They pretended to be terrorists but that was only to cover a huge, well planned heist. Money was the real motive in the end.

I agree the ransom demand is pure Barbara Streisand. This guy enjoys killing innocent people and making fun out of the police. So he issues a phony demand hoping the authorities will think he's a terrorist. This psychopath sniper hasn't played all the decks in his cards out yet. Look for the fear that's gripped Washington to continue and for the authorities to continue to be completely befuddled about the identity of the killer.

The note requesting payoff was apparently not found the night of the shooting, therefore could have been placed later by some unrelated thug who sees shootings as a way to make a bundle.

I hear you, but from the article:

The handwriting and some of the wording in the letter matches that of the "Dear Policeman, I am God" note scrawled on a tarot death card left at the scene of an earlier sniper strike, sources said.

I don't know how much they could rely on "wording" from a five word message but if the handwriting is the same... I think this killer would have to be profoundly stupid to do this (leave two samples of his own handwriting for police to find and to think he could get away with a money handover). If he's that stupid, how does he always get away? Maybe he's just lucky and stupid.

Bush, Cheney, NRA, and Marine Corps bumper stickers

Bumper stickers that automatically portray you as an honest, law abiding, rock solid American? Just think how frustrating this must be for liberals?

None of us can know for sure, but I think this is just a ruse designed to cover up what is really happening.

FWIW, I still think these murders are related to ME terrorism. My best guess is that we have begun to meet the cell's demands by releasing a few prisoners at Gitmo, and that the ultimate aim of the cell's demand is the release of Rahman's son. The government and the terrorists are still negotiating--with the government beginning to meet the demands in small steps in hopes of buying time to track these guys down.

This ransom angle and the "arrests" yesterday are simply a cover story designed for public consumption to keep the media focus off of the real investigation and to hide the fact that we are slowly capitulating to the terrorists' demands. This ransom thing is a bunch of manufactured crap, IMO.

I don't think that this guy is psychotic. He is a psychopath - intelligent, cool, calm, collected, with a purpose.

"Bush, Cheney, NRA, and Marine Corps bumper stickers"

These stickers were probably given to them by the same guys that sold them their phoney IDs. It's urban camouflage for illegal aliens.

"If "sharp-shootings" these weren't particularly virtuosic."

This is probably very "sharp-shooting" for the French army, though. That would explain a lot.

Scuzzy enough to release information that the cops asked them not to release.

I was impressed with the guy on MSNBC yesterday afternoon. (I don't know his name.) He had a paper in his hand, and he was reading an update. He stopped, thought a second or two, and said he didn't think it would be a good idea to broadcast that information. He handed the paper to someone and said to let him know when it was OK to let that information out.

I was surprised. They need to keep their yaps shut more often--especially in regards to national security.

Well...This certainly dashes the hopes and dreams of numerous Muslim Hating Freepers.

And I can only assume it's all Mooses' fault??

It's time for the FEDS to take over...

Absolutely. Jump from the frying pan into the fire. Instead of Inspector Cleasou and the Keystone Cops we will be blessed with the antics of F Troop.

Priority one of the F Troopians will be to find Lee Harvey Oswald even if they have to invent him.

There is no substitute for Sovereign Citizens mentally conditioned with "tactical awareness" and armed to respond immediately with a defensive sidearm.

The citizens of this Republic have grown fat and flabby with the sucess of the Post WWII economy and this type of maniac is the sad result.

Best regards,

"This certainly dashes the hopes of numerous Muslim Hating Freepers."

The problem seems more to be that there's a certain, rather large percentage of Muslims that hate everybody else in the whole world and the rest of the Muslim community covers for them.

Our government has issued over 300,000 deportation orders for Muslims for a variety of reasons. Many of them for known terrorist group affiliations.

Have you heard of anyone from the Muslim community turning any of these criminals in?

It is not so much the marksmanship but the ingress and egress that seem more than amateurish.
