80 million firearms owners hackles should be up and ready to send a message. Get out and vote on November 5. If you are not in town on Nov 5th, get your absentee ballet like I did. I cast my vote to defeat all gun grabbers in my precint.

I am telling all my gunner freinds that this is a very good time to throw the anti's out.

I live in Maryland--our Lt. Governor gun-grabber Townsend who is running for Governor is having a field day with this beltway sniper! Get out the vote is right--my son goes to college in Rhode Island and has already sent his ballot in.

Funny how when the much maligned gun owners of this country "go ballistic", we do it in a much more civil, law abiding, and peaceful way than most of the democrat's supporters.
After all, when was the last time you heard of the NRA turning into a rampaging mob or burning down a city when something didnt go their way ?

Sorry I posted twice--I am so mad and fired up that by mistake I hit "post" twice!

80 million firearms owners hackles should be up and ready to send a message. "Should be" being the operative phrase. Sadly, it has been my experience that only a small fraction of these care very much about the issue. Most of the others are in various states of apathy and denial, and quite a few even support greater gun control.

I hope this means they will get out and vote. The Dems must be defeated.

If they wish to make this election a referendum on personal firearms, SO BE IT!

I believe this entire election is going to be won or lost on turnout of the base and from what I'm seeing Republicans are in very good shape.
Consider this:
REPUBLICANS:
Patriots / Military - Motivated by Bush's support for the military and war on terror / Iraqi.
Pro-Gun - Motivated by the return of the Gun-Control spectre.
Religous Right - Motivated by attempt to take "God" out of the pledge.
"Political" Republicans - Motivated by Democrat dirty tricks; Lautenberg/Toricelli, Vote Fraud Etc.
DEMOCRATS:
Anti-Gun - Angry at Dem leaders for ignoring Gun issue.
Peacniks - Angry at Dem leaders for Iraqi Resolution.
Unions - No major labor issues to rally around -- many rank and file support war on terror, pro-gun.
Minority - No major "race card" issue to rally around YET (still two weeks for the Dems to invent one)
