The Chevrolet Vega was Chevies answer to the Ford Pinto. I bought a Vega in 1973 and it started burning oil after 500 miles. We're talking huge blue plumes of smoke.

One of my best buddies in 73 had the special Cosworth Vega.....souped up with Hurst T-bar shifter and fat back wheels.....it moved on pretty good as I recall.
