Vanity (But True!!!): I was on Southwest Flight 160 with Al Gore!!!! ROTFLOL ALERT!!!!

NOT MAKING THIS UP!!!

Hubby and I were just about to board Southwest Flight 160 from Hartford CT to Nashville last Saturday. Next thing we knew The Goron was in the gate area having his bags checked, being wanded, and then (of course) being hustled to the front of the line so he could be seated on the plane ahead of the people in wheelchairs.

Our reactions: astonishment, loud laughter, and then marvel at how nervous and self-conscious he seemed. Hubby and I settled into quiet joking and insults between the two of us--although hubby said The Goron gave him a long stare while he was being wanded--hubby glared right back at him until he looked away (LOL).

We had to walk by The Goron to get seated in the back. The Goron and his lackey toook up all 6 seats at the very front right side of the plane. (Didn't know Southwest had First Class Seating--LOL). As everyone passed by, no one spoke to The Goron either positively or negatively--we all basically ignored him, which was a little strange, now that I think about it. The Goron held up a newspaper in front of his face & pretended to read it the whole time--but he was turning the pages every five seconds and he kept one eyeball uncovered so he could look over each passenger as they walked by. It was a really wierd thing to watch.

I have to say, I actually had no desire to even make a joking snide comment as I passed by The Goron. The overall impression he made on me was that he's just another loser with a capital L , desperately wanting to be someone important, at the same time projecting no self-confidence. I actually felt sorry for him at the time.

During the two-hour flight the Goron got up a couple of times to use the lavatory (must have been drinking ice tea--LOL!!!). When the plane landed, he grabbed his lock-box and was the first guy off the plane (of course).

Hubby and I are still laughing about this. Talk about wierd karma............

It's Algore's scheme to get more frequent flyer miles quicker: Buy 3 tickets for each trip you take and earn triple the mileage!

And get three bags of peanuts!

Thanks for the ping. Wouldn't it have been fun to start to shake his hand and then pull back, make the L sign and say LOSER! Juvenile I know, but fun.

"Actually, Bonaparte, if my feelings were hurt, that lasted about one millionth of a nanosecond."

Denial is a natural part of recovering from the trauma you've experienced. Now let's all hug and sing Kumbayah. There, isn't that better now? :-)

"Now, because of threads like this, i've decided to remove it."

Oh, please put the sign back on your van. We promise we won't be bad anymore. If you punish us, I think you should punish mason123 too. He started it by calling RooRooBird "boorish" (oops, sorry, I mean he called her behavior boorish -- and she can't help her behavior because it's all a product of her environment and not being loved and validated enough). So if you won't spank him, will you at least send him to his room or tell him to can't have dessert?

Most likely to dose-up on Peruvian Marching Powder.

He is Living A Neurvous Breakdown. Reminds me of the Doors song, when you are strange, everyone is a stranger. I have been wearing my Sore Loserman shirt lately and will have it on Election eve. Clinton rightly chose a minor league presidential wannabe.

Ok, I'll be nice and won't rant and curse at mason. But he's not coming to my birthday party or watching me open my presents. Not until he apologizes to RooRooBird for hurting her feeeeeelings. I asked him nicely and he still hasn't said he's sorry. I think he's ignoring me on purpose and doesn't even care. That really hurts my feelings.

Look, guys, I'm a Republican. I'm not too thrilled about Democrats. But I'm also a Christian. And I think you need to lay off the harsh posts on Mason. After all, doesn't he have the freedom of speech? If he has something to say, let him say it. And if you have something to say, say it too. Just don't rant, rave, and curse while you do it, OK? And Mason, keep on posting! Feel free to say what you want to!!

What the !!!?? I don't believe that you are being toleraaaaant enough of our views here. Please, do attempt to be more toleraaaaant in the future. did let Mason say what he had to say. And then we said what we had to say. And then you said what you had to say. Mason was harsh. Others were harsh back at Mason. You were harsh. We're all harsh. Isn't this fun?

"I set next to Barbara Jordan on a Southwest flight from Austin to Houston some years back. We chatted the whole way. She was just the nicest lady. It would be interesting to see her take on the Dem. party as it is today."

Thank you for mentioning her. She and Mo Udall were favorites of mine... genuine folks, smart, funny, nice, patriotic. Their kind is gone from the DemocRat party... with one exception that comes to mind: Zell Miller.

Mason123, you need to read Ann Coulter's book Slander.

In case you didn't know it, we are involved in a battle for the soul of this Country: Do we go socialist or do we hang in there for a while longer?

algore is a destestable politician who traded his scruples ie(pro-life as a Senator from Tennessee to pro-choice) as a national left wing rat. All this rat wanted was power, power, and power.

Should we have fawned over this piece of clinton?
