To FR Posters: I wrote this editorial for a serious reason these Dem sites really are banning their own posters now, through Nov 6th, if the posters indicate their refusal to vote for their non-leaders as leaders.
Consequently, there are some wayward Dem voters looking around for other places to cast their vote, since they are concluding their own candidates are not worthy of their vote.
Perhaps what they need is an encouraging word or two.

FYI. I recently revised my profile page because of the new banning of Dem posters from Dem sites. Click on my screen name and you'll see what I mean. :)

Geeze! Just when you think Democrats can't sink any lower they pull out a shovel and start digging. Un-frikkin-believable.

Thanks for the clarification, as I was a bit confused at first. So which sites are we talking about, here? Is DU one of them? Amazing, though. Banned til november 6th for being unwilling to vote for the Democrat candidate. Wow, your comparison really IS spot on. Either vote Yes for Hussein or vote Yes for Hussein. So much for that phrase that Democrats keep using over and over, freedom of choice.
To: Green Knight
Either vote Yes for Hussein or vote Yes for Hussein.
Believe me, some Dem voters feel the same way you and I do. That's why they got kicked off their own site.

Why would a FReeper want to encourage Florida residents to vote for someone other than Jeb Bush. The Dems election officials in Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties intentionally botch the election process (those dem voters can't be that stupid?), to manufacture an issue to hold against Jeb.
I think teacher unions have ruined public education in this country.
To: summer
It isn't as bad as that - all they're doing is banning the ones who can't get their legs up quite high enough for a proper goose-step. Demoralizes the other troopies...
To: summer
Yeah, I noticed that DU has banned any liberal that doesn't tow the party line, until after the election (of course all non liberals are banned forever). This includes Greens and anyone who questions any of the Dem candidates. It's funny how they always rant ,over there, about Freepers not allowing them to post here, yet they ban there own kind for not marching in step.
I say we should welcome the banned posters here at Free Republic.

I am encouraging people to get out and vote, and I think that is very much something people on FR encourage others to do. Yes, I think people should vote for JEB! (Click on my profile page!) But, if they do not want to vote for Jeb, and they hate the Dem candidate McMumble as well, I say: VOTE ANYWAY!

The best advice is still to cast a vote for Jeb. I have a hunch that you agree. ;-)
But, by all means, if a Dem can't vote for Jeb, the Dem should pick one of those you listed.

I agree. I came to FR as a registered Democrat, genuinely interested in learning more about conservatives. If one comes with the attitude of wanting to learn, and then one can also think on one's own, I think that is a positive attitude and something that is in fact welcomed here.

Not having ever voted in Florida, shouldn't the option to vote for someone other than the two main candidates be self-evident/explanatory by merely reviewing the ballot? Is Florida so bad that they need training wheels to vote properly?

I agree. If one of those 3rd party or independent candidates gets a lot more votes from disillusioned Dems, who knows, the Dem Party leaders may actually be forced to listen to their own voters for a CHANGE.

I think some people will be inspired to get out and vote if they know more people are on the ballot.

The fact they even had to institute such a rule tells me they know they still do not have their base together for this upcoming election. But, by banning those people, well, it "appears" they do.
