Peres: Settlement rabbis 'sh-tty inciters'
The Jerusalem Post ^ | 10/21/2002 | Gil Hoffman

Posted on 10/20/2002 10:19:20 PM PDT by eclectic

Foreign Minister Shimon Peres Sunday called the rabbis of Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip "sh-tty inciters," who not too long ago called for killing him.

Peres, speaking at the cabinet meeting, was upset at rabbis in the settlements who have called on religiously observant soldiers to refuse orders to evacuate settlement outposts. He claimed that prior to the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the rabbis incited against Rabin and himself.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon asked Peres in the meeting to take back his foul language, but the foreign minister declined. National Infrastructures Minister Effi Eitam called on Peres to quit for making such a statement.

The palestinians don't have title to the land. And I don't mean Israeli title. They don't have title period. Their arab overlords didn't trust them enough to let most have it.

Two wrongs do not make a right unless you're a settler apparently.

Well, there you go again... I have to disagree. I admit Begin was a terrorist because he was. His targeting methodology made him no better than Arafat. But all this off-topic.

You can do better than that. Its the same as an admission the palestinians have no right to the land, clothed in emotional subterfuge.

No it isn't. It is an evaluation of the situation that is a bit more honest than claiming that because somebody else didn't recognize a person's title rights, it's OK to practice theft.

Just because you don't consider him a freedom fighter doesn't mean that the nation of Israel didn't and in fact rewarded him for his terrorist acts by making him a national hero and political figure.

One man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. The US had its share of freedom fighters that the British called terrorists ( criminals and rebels back in those days ).

...didn't recognize a person's title rights

What title rights? They don't have any. If they did, they would produce them. They were squatters then, and they are squatters now. It's a sad situation, but they were offered a chance to become Israeli citizens and turned it down. We never hear about all those that accepted it, and have full citizenship rights. They once were 'palestinians' as well.

...that the British called terrorists...

Numba one-yes, they did, you are correct.

Numba two-no, we did not slaughter women and children on a regular basis as a war strategy.

NUMBA THREE-What does any of this have to do with the topic at hand? You're running.

hey there. what do you make of sharon of late? it's like he's letting ben-eliezer run the country for a few weeks to show what a dope he is. it's wildly irresponsible, but i guess asking sharon to show a modicum of responsiblity is too much these days.

Peres. Why the traitorous, criminal, corruption-driven b*st*rd is not in jail is almost as mysterious as why Clintoon is walking around free ;).

Those on the left are usually better at dissembling and hiding their true feelings.

Maybe the leftist war cry "it's for the children!" didn't work - and Peres got frustrated enough that the mask slipped, and the true face of all leftists appeared - a visage contorted with hate at all who oppose them.

What crap. So regardless of whatever facts there are (titles and documents back to the 18th century, ILLEGAL OCCUPATION BY JORDAN after partition) you just go with your decision that squatters whose main claim to fame is that they slaughter women and children on q weekly basis should just take it because you are a Jew hating muslim *sskissing synchophant?

Perhaps you should try decaf. It is quite funny that in order to justify settlers (squatters - by force) you need to go all the way back to the 18th century in order to make such an attempt.

Futhermore, there are plenty of Palestinians killed by settlers. They are most certainly being run off their land and Israeli bulldozers have been working overtime to destroy farms owned by Palestinians.

You're the red, as in commie fascist. - the "settlements are on 2% of the land of the "west bank."

So you're making a new argument (along with the logical fallacy of ad hominem) that because it's "just a little bit" we should ignore the theft and destruction going on.

There are a gazillion sq miles of arab and for an arab state. All the Jews want is the land that was theirs BEFORE there were any Arab NATIONS (almost all of which were artificially created in the late 19th early 20th century.)

This is a lie. The Jews were awarded a large piece of land which was taken from the Ottoman's in 1917 by the British. The Jews hadn't been in control of the region since 100 BC.

As far as "artificially created" goes, Israel was also "artificially created" if you're going to hold to that standard. The break-up of the Ottoman Empire in 1917 is what allowed the formation of Arab and Israeli states.

"I haven't read your link but I have many arab friends blah blah blah".

I never said that. Are you a liar? I did in fact read the link and have read many others like it which attempt to apologize for acts of violence and theft.

You sound just like another commie muslim terr appeasing democrat, ALL OF WHOM SHARE YOUR IGNORANCE AND DESIRE TO PUSH THE JEWS INTO THE SEA.

And you sound like a typical race-baiter who hasn't got the facts to back him up.

Anyone who encourages pal taking of land from Israel is a terrorist whose end goal is the destruction of not just Israel, but of America.

LOL. I think that anyone who encourages the taking of Israeli land is a thief. I wouldn't know about other motives. Then again, I also think that Rabbi's who encourage settlers to take more land which doesn't belong to them, thieves.
