Excuse me, I just got back online. Question. Since you work in the schools, do you think there might be a specific threat the sniper/s have given, directed toward the schools, the Cops haven't let us know about? I wonder about this because more people have been shot in other public places than have been shot going to school. It doesn't make any sense to me, and I am trying to understand this. It is a BIG deal to close school districts. (four of them, I think).

I mentioned that as a possibility in one of my first posts, but I have no way of knowing one way or the other. I'm just a lowly classroom teacher and not a [gasp] administrator.

If there has been a direct threat to the schools then, by all means, close them! But the local news has reported that the decision to close the schools (made by the Superintendants of each district) was in response to a flood of calls from worried parents. Whether this is the truth or not, who knows?
