What do you think about the police following his instructions so rigidly? Any merit to the idea that they should release everything, maybe add a little note of thier own saying that the shooter has said he is doing it to make up for sexual shortcomings or something, just to rattle his cage? Or is it better not to piss him off? What other threat does he have?

They have nothing. I was hoping the announcement about the military spy plane was just a ruse to cover the much more sophisticated satellite capabilities we have over DC, and that we would have face recognition by this time.

About the other threat. Maybe the phone number left behind was Chief Moose's daughter's or some other personal number (I don't know if Moose has a daughter). Regardless, this is the biggest break in the case so far. Once the sniper starts talking, the cops will be able to track the guy down.
