US considers Israeli proposal to disarm Iraqi missiles
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
WASHINGTON - The Bush administration is weighing an Israeli proposal for a joint operation in Iraq's western desert to disarm Iraqi missiles before they could be launched against Israel.
If successful, the operation might not only protect Israeli civilians from an Iraqi attack like the one they weathered in the 1991 Persian Gulf War but eliminate the troublesome prospect of an Israeli retaliatory attack on Iraq.
Under the proposal, which would involve American special forces troops, Israel would furnish the United States with intelligence about the sites and how to disarm them early in the conflict.
The idea was presented during Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's talks in Washington this week with President Bush and senior White House, Pentagon and State Department officials.
Afterward, both sides said Sharon had received assurances the United States would make a maximum effort to reduce any threat to Israel posed by Iraq.
The Israeli plan was not announced, but an account was provided to The Associated Press on Friday by a U.S. official on condition of anonymity.

Which traitor in the US government would enflame Islamic psychopaths to attack us even further and attack Israel more unmercifully than they already have?
THIS anonymous source in our own government should be sought out and fired with immediate dispatch. Those who are not with US are against US...and that inludes those people in our own government that would incite the barbarians who are already at the gates and who now have put intelligence officers already on the ground in Iraq in mortal danger, many of whom are Americans.
That the Associated Press would print this trash using only an anonymous source does their credibility no favor. Moreover, it joins them at the hip to those who desire the downfall of the USA as well as the downfall of Israel.
They have given out priceless information to every terrorist group around the world to ratchet up more medieval attacks against America and Americans. Is the AP so stupid that they would rather report horror stories after hundreds of people have died as a direct result of their propaganda reportage? Would they rather print pictures of death and destruction against freedom-loving peoples by those whom they have built into twisted heroes for their own perverted agenda?
It seems the answer is yes.
I have noticed for the last almost three years, that for every one picture of horrors visited on the innocent, there are ten pictures following of Hamas, Hizbullah, PLO, protesting, waving flags, celebrating suicidal murders they commit, celebrating 9/11, and homicidal heroes of all ages from these groups, while blaming the US and Israel for all the wrongs in the world.
Dare we trust the mainstream press to have our best interests at heart?
I think not.

The US is in danger already and not because of reported Israel proposal- if you listened to Bin Laden and other animals like him messages in Arabic after 11th of September , you would understand .

I know about all that, but adding Israel publicly as a real player in this *coalition* is bound to worsen the attacks, not to mention adding more that might not have happened. I don't think our Defense Department is so stupid as to think this would be GOOD NEWS to the world. If anything it will make the hardliners harder.

Thought about it and dismissed it...except for one reason I can think of. It could be meant to goad Iraq into initiating a first strike against Israel so that Israel can hit Iraq hard while the US hits bigger, maybe worse targets.

One thing is for sure , at the end of the day , the only ones who will stand next to the US in this justified war and not because the US needs it , will be England and
Israel (passively or actively).

Geez Louise! Substitute Turkey for Israel; still interested? Substitute Iran for Iraq; still interested? Try North Korea for Iraq and Japan for Israel; still interested?
How about if we fight our own wars for our own reasons? I am not interested in sending my sons to fight for someone else.

In this case it is the US war as well , if it does not want to have another 11th of September - if you know Arabic , follow the messages and you will understand .

Australia has never been bashful about standing shoulder to shoulder with us. They went into East Timor when hell broke loose and they have been our allies almost forever. Compare them to our neighbor to the north here, and you start wishing electrically charged fences would magicly appear. But we have to send Jennings back first.
