Yes, it is. One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what would come in the wake of those messages from bin Laden and Zawahiri.

Wait..there's no guns in Germany. How could this happen? Maybe they have ballistic fingerprinting? That'll solve this crime in no time!!!

Or, as they used to say: You don't have to be a Weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing...

I wonder which school it was? A friend of mine taught at the Realschule in Waiblingen in the early '70s. Nice little town, still had good parts of its medieval wall and lots of great little Weinstuben.

He's holding them hostage using the honor system. If they cooperate today, he won't come back later and do horrible things later.

I have a feeling that it's just beginning. This time, unlike 1993 and 1998, we're paying a whole lot more attention. It doesn't happen to somebody else someplace else. It happened to us and we're still...er....mad.

I don't know yet. As soon as there's an update, I'll let you know.
My uncle was stationed in Stuttgart during the cold war (I'd say it was in the early 60's) and my aunt and cousins loved the region.
