Heard something about Mountain Lions on RCI tonight.
Didn't pay attention as to the where the cats were "spotted" but the interview went something like:

"What's the genetic difference between the Eastern and Western?"

"So its just of matter where they roam?"
"Yes, but it's real interesting that they're spotted in the East now. We thought they were extinct..."

I saw a great special on the Discovery channel recently on eagles. Some that plucked big monkeys out of trees in Africa...some that dined only on turtles that they smashed on rocks...some that were expert at snatching snakes...faschinating.

Just revealed on the news, the mountain lion's stomach revealed it had been feeding on deer so its definitely wild. They have also been sighted by Platte City (about 15 miles NW). The conservation department, when shown cattle that had claw marks on their hind quarters (like how a lion attacks) said it couldn't be a mountain lion because "they just aint around these parts".

We use them texas chicken for king salmon bait here on the Kenai river. You have to use at least three though, or the fish won't even look at your hook.

Well we use them Alaskan King Salmon as bait for catfish, but we have to use four of em or else they'll simply ignore the anchor chain we use as line to catch=em with..
