Don't accuse Michael Moore of being objective.
"I don't believe in objectivity," says the filmmaker. "I don't believe that any newspaper's objective. I believe there's subjectivity in every article, and where every article is placed. We're human beings, we're subjective animals, we're not machines."

At least this article leads off with some leftists openly admitting that Michael Moore lies to make his points.

A small part of me wants to see his film just to see how many safety errors, misdemenors and felonys he commits in the process of making his film.
But then I slap myself and my sanity returns.

I almost got to attend a free screening with someone (he intended up taking a girl, I hope it was a wide-eyed lib if he was thinking it would be a good "date" movie).
I'm glad that I didn't get to go. I wouldn't be able to stay quiet in the face of such lies and spin. I don't like to be manipulated by a movie when I sit in the audience.
I can be entertained or informed, but when the director is leading you down the path to force your conclusions, I can't go there.

Why anyone believes that liberal Democrats like Rather, Jennings and Brokaw can even pretend to be objective is beyond me.

At least this article leads off with some leftists openly admitting that Michael Moore lies to make his points. And it also proves a theory of mine. The further left you get, be it PETA, Earth First!, Moore and his cult of fans, the last thing we want to do is shut them up. The more you let them talk, they just can't help but reveal how whacked they are.

I wish this fat slob would try to force his onto my property and stick a camera in my face. I'd mace him, taze him, and break his knee caps with a baton while saying, "Hey, you're right Mr. Moore, guns really aren't necessary for self-defense!"

Michael Moore explains what G_d did with all the left over silly putty on the seventh day.

"We're human beings, we're subjective animals, we're not machines."Moral relativism. Everything rationalized. Thus the Hitlerian, and the My Lai, "I was only following orders."

Why anyone believes that liberal Democrats like Rather, Jennings and Brokaw can even pretend to be objective is beyond me. I saw an interview with James Belushi last night. He said that after what Bob Woodward did to John in "Wired" he doesn't believe Watergate really happened. Says he's a Nixon fan.
;^)
OK, he was kidding about Nixon, but not about Woodward.

"I cringe when I see me up there, because I think this is disgusting. A country like this, and we entrust it to a guy with no education and a ball cap to ask these questions, you know?Who the hell is he talking about? Bush has no education? I guess someone should call Harvard and tell them that Mr. Moore has determined that their MBA program is not educationally valid. Maybe he is thinking of Gore......
It is my subjective opinion that Moore is an ignorant buffoon that is sorely in need of a bath and an education in history.
What was that crack about Coulter's book anyway? Given all the citations she listed, I don't think anything Moore has written (spewed?) is even remotely comparable in quality.
To: SpinyNorman
Moore was referring to himself with that quote, not Bush.

This moron's movies and books are always "big hits" in the lamestream media. Has anybody ever seen one of either???? I would like to see some numbers. I bet this guy hasn't been ON the bestseller list and I bet the only reason his movie didn't absolutely bankrupt somebody was because it was probably made with a home video recorder and no budget.

"I tell you what I cringe at," Moore says. "I cringe when I see me up there, because I think this is disgusting. A country like this, and we entrust it to a guy with no education and a ball cap to ask these questions, you know? Wow. I actually found some common ground with Michael Moore. I'm speechless.
To: Alex Murphy
"Look, fear is a good thing," allows Moore, who lives in New York with his wife, Kathleen Glynn. "You need to be afraid of certain things for your own self-preservation. Look what fear did for Micheal-- Moore would still be a nobody if he wasn't so afraid.
"We have nothing to fear, but fear, itself."
To: SpinyNorman
what was that crack about CoulterI suspect it was a classic case of balancing - every time you read some liberal ratting out out other liberals, they always seem compelled to point to equivalent sins by a hated character from the right as a way of "balancing" their article. It's as if they must make sure that the reader doesn't use the article to actually start suspecting the left is full of crap and start sympathizing with the right.

Michael Moore ends questioning how it can be that Canada has so many guns, per capita, and yet less gun crime. He asked for people to sugggest answers. Here's the obvious answer, like it or not.
Black people commit 85% of America's gun crime, although they represent only 12-13% of the population. In Canada, there are fewer black people as a percentage of the population.
Sorry, law abiding, conservative black people and knee jerk "liberals", but the facts are the facts, like them or not.
Incidentally, Richard Bey raised this question on the air on WABC Talk Radio the other day. I called in and asked to offer this comment and the screener said "Oh, we can't say that on the air", and she hung up on me.
