laws are ignored every day by every body... be they speeding, parking, etc... you immediately jump to the conclusion of anarchy, but embrace totalitarian dictatorship at the drop of a hat.

one needs to draw the line for the state as it imposes its will on the people, and licensing is the state imposing its will.

apparently the gent who didn't have his lights on at 12:30 am was able to do so in a well lit area, was visible to others along the road, because he was noticed by the officer, and was pulled over because the officer could make the case for revenue...

it is not a matter of right to drive with lights on or off... you try to minimize rights by straw arguments... were his lights necessary to visibility? you say they weren't, but the law says differently, so you condone locking him up for arguing... as for the renewal tag, how many times must a vehicle be "registered" with the state...

yes, laws are on the books, but that doesn't make them right.

following laws is a choice every man makes, be they man or god's, governments will impose every law they can on man to control behaviour, it is mans duty to prohibit that from getting out of control.

So you're defining "arguing" as shooting at a sheriff's deputy? See, that's what he did when he pulled over. In fact, according to the statement made by the other person in the truck, he said he was going to shoot the deputy before he left the truck. Oh, my. And asking "how many times" a car must be registered, you seem to be saying that it's up to you to decide if a car should be registered at all, or if registered (and how do you define "registered?"), it should only have to be done once, twice, or a number you've decided upon.

Do me a favor: let me know when you're on the road. I want to be able to decide to stay off the roads when you're on them. Do you have vehicle insurance? If not, do you have sufficient assets (or a bond) so that I can have my car repaired if you hit me, and do you have sufficients assets (or a bond) so that if you injure me while driving you'll be able to pay my medical bills? If you don't, you most definitely are endangering the safety of others, because not only will you only comply with laws that you deem are worthy, but refuse to comply with laws you don't, in your esteemed opinion, fit within your definition of legal--or at the least, apply to you.
