Saw this over at WorldnetDaily. Different take than the Washington areas "experts".

"Saw this over at WorldnetDaily. Different take than the Washington areas "experts".This is the only profile report I have seen so far that actually makes sense.

The only one that doesn't seem to "wish terrorism" away.

The clues we know are:
1) The only communication (made public) refers to "God" in the role of an avenger.
2) All but 3 of the shootings occured at gas stations. These are owned by oil companies who are the dominant US presence in the Middle East and at the core of the US economy. This is no coincidence. (consider the overwhelming number of alternate public venues). This is an indirect attack on the oil industry.
3) The wording of the Tarot card message may indicate English was not his original language (speculation)
4) A Tarot expert is cited by the Post as saying that the card left at the scene of one of the shootings does not necessarily mean death, "it means transformation, a clearing away of the old to make way for the new". (this was from a BBC report)
5) There have been multiple reports of 2 people involved. This would indicate organization, team work and deep common convictions.
God, oil, "transformation from old order to new", organization, planning and teamwork between 2 people who believe in something with sufficient conviction to kill and be killed.

No doubt. Heard a guy last nite say he thought it was NOT terrorists because they had not claimed resonsibility in public. Greta cut him off and said no-one publicly claimed credit for the Bali blast, WTC, or the French tanker either.

"The only one that doesn't seem to "wish terrorism" away."No kidding. I have considered the possibility that if the police do have information that this is terrorist related, that they might not want to release that information out of fear of creating a panic. But if terrorism is what is happening here we are going to have to deal with it a some point so now is as good of a time as any.
My personal belief is that this is the latest form of terrorism, but we just don't want to admit it.

More than two, my bet. Regardless of motive.

"Heard a guy last nite say he thought it was NOT terrorists because they had not claimed resonsibility in public"I have heard that too but think that there is more value in not claiming reasonability at this point in that it is more deceptive to watch us run around and try and claim that it is everything under the sun except what it is, terrorism.

Smith also speculated that the investigating police agencies aren't publicly commenting on the possibility that terrorists are behind the shootings because they don't want to hurt the public's morale.
Wouldn't hurt my morale.
It would make me want to go tear down the islamic structures that support these clandestine, cowardly attacks on my people, my nation.
Probably holding back on the terrorist connection so as NOT to affect the upcoming election.

Have you seen this line from the Yahoo story concerning the guy they are questioning in Baltimore.
"MSNBC reported that a tarot card was found in the van and a sign on the dashboard read "Gihad in America." A tarot card was also found at one of the shootings. "
It kind of makes me think there may be several teams at work here.

Interesting post, which made sense until the last statement where the lady reversed herself:
"This is a person who wants power over the population at large," she said. "They are watching the news . They do a hit and then go home and watch it on TV."
This isn't at all consistent with the organized "terrorist" approach. A cell would be following a plan, regardless of what's reported on TV.

I agree with you. The country seems unwilling to admit that war is coming to our doorsteps and must be fought as such. Stay safe--and keep your eyes open for Muslims scouting future hits.
To: Kerberos
There was apparently no ballistic match between the rifle of the guy in Baltimore and the bullets in the sniping victims. But he still could have been acting as a decoy: white van, radio scanners, work route through the D.C. suburbs, Gihad in America, tarot card, sniper manual, right ammo.
To: toddst
Not at all. Terrorists are VERY concerned with press coverage--it amplifies an otherwise isolated event.
To: toddst
A cell presumably has a leader. That leader can react to the news.

"The country seems unwilling to admit that war is coming to our doorstep"Yes unfortunatly, even after 9/11, we seem to have this mindset that wars happen over there. They would never dare to attack us on our on soil.
Bad news, I think the game has changed.

Someone, on another thread, thought that these shootings might be a test run for the Christmas shopping season. If the economy isn't tanking already, that would do the job.
To: aristeides
" But he still could have been acting as a decoy"Decoy or some kind of support capacity.

"They're not giving us much information," she said. "They don't want to tell us that because they don't want people to panic ." Panic? Noooo... I wouldn't say that. Hostility toward the Mohammedan community? That would be more their concern.
