Re: The abandoned truck.

If it is associated with the shootings then it was obtained by the shooter either through purchase or sale. If it was legally purchased and not immediately traceable to the shooter through VIN#'s then we are talking enough sophistication to have cut outs in the purchasing that insulate the shooter from the commercial transaction. Such cut outs and sufficient spare cash to buy a throw away truck tend to indicate a support organization with funding and help.

If the truck is stolen then why was that not immediately obvious. Certainly the PD's would have checked for any stolen trucks matching the description of the white box truck.

In either case the sophisticated escape planning up front from the shootings tend to make the madman theory less likely

Unfortunately we still have nothing definitive.

A point of interest about the abandoned "box truck:" Fox seems to be the only media outlet mentioning it this AM, and even then it's deep into the story on their site. Supposedly they had an "exclusive" on finding the truck, but it hasn't been picked up by the NYT or WP that I've noticed. LE doesn't have a comment on the truck, of course.
