Jeez man, what a helluva good job. If the police are half this thorough in their research, we should catch these folks. I think they ought to make an educated guess based on this info and pick an area with another Michael's and a park and stake it out with a couple of unmarked sqauds. Simple and cheap.

With regard to the proximity of the Michael's Stores, note that the name Michael means "He Who Is Like God," which is quite reminiscent of the "I am God" note found with the Tarot card.

Also spelled Mika'il, in Islam, the archangel who was so shocked at the sight of hell when it was created that he never laughed again.  In biblical literature Michael is the counterpart of Mikal.  In Muslim legend, Mikal and Jibril were the first angels to obey God's order to worship Adam.  The two are further credited with purifying Muhammad's heart before his night journey (isra') from Mecca to Jerusalem and subsequent ascension (mi'raj) to heaven.  He also is remembered as aiding the Muslims to their first significant military victory in Arabia in 624.

This is said to be from the Encyclopedia Britannica, but I haven't verified that. I got it from this web page on angels, which is worth going to if only for the artwork.

He is parking his vehicle on the back side of the park...he is using the park as a VISUAL BLOCK to aid his get away...he is usinf the NATURAL visual BARRIER to walk through to cover him...cover his tracks and when he drives OFF his vehicle isn't seen by the folks flocking towards the victim.

Okay, guys, there is way more to this Michael's connection than I thought. Check this out:

On the "first shooting day" he started by shooting a window at a Michael's in Aspen Hill, Montgomery Co., MD, then went on a rampage and killed several people.
On the "second shooting day" he killed a woman near a Michael's in Fredericksburg, VA.
On the "third shooting day" he shot a boy near a Michael's in Bowie, MD.
On the "fourth shooting day" he killed a guy near the Michael's in Manassas, VA.
On the "fifth shooting day" he killed a guy just south of Fredericksburg, VA--no Michael's nearby?
On the "sixth shooting day" he killed a woman near a Michael's in Falls Church, VA.

It's his name, or he thinks he's the archangel Michael, or he's pissed at the Michael's company, or he hates Israel and their angel is Michael, or something--but there's no way there isn't a Michael's connection. I credit my wife with seeing this connection first a full week ago after only the second or third "shooting days."

Here's some more tin foil fodder...
He was seen driving east on 50 towards "St. Michaels", and were you aware that "Michael" is the most popular name for a baby boy???

Based on the obvious Michael's craft store connection, this map of stores in the area, and the ones he's hit near so far (#3, off-map to the south, 11, 17, and 1), I'd guess the next victim will be in Waldorf, MD near the store numbered "10" on the map, and the one after that in the Chantilly area near the store numbered "15" on the map. Of course he could reverse direction or go to one of the other stores near Chantilly to the west/northwest, but the certain thing is he'll strike near a Michael's craft store.

The location of the victim just south of Fredericksburg at I-95 and Rt. 1 doesn't exactly fit the pattern, but may be explainable as the victim shot a few days earlier in the parking lot next to the Michael's craft store in Fredericksburg a few miles to the north didn't die. I think he decided to return to the area after it became evident she would survive, so he could kill someone there and "cover" that store according to his plan.

If I'm not mistaken....the parking lot is located at about 8:00 to the purple circle. If you watched TV last night you know that it's supported by columns or pillers giving it a very open look...not enclosed.

True...most of the surrounding park like areas are too elevated anyway as I recall....The mall sits somewhat downhill or in a valley compared to the surroundings thus making a shot under the roof difficult or impossible?

However....if you look at about 7:30 you can see the stand of trees that abutts up to the mall line and separates it from the residential area.

It's at this end of the store that there is the loading and receiving area of the store?

Late at night not much activity and relativly no cars passing thru. Could have been up in the stand of trees.

The van could have been left either on one of the residential streets or on rt 50 which barely disects the bottom of the circle. (Rt 7, which ends about center bottom of the pic is to far away to retreat to.)

Since that don't say exactly where the woman was, it's hard to project.

St Michael's is on the Eastern Shore...so to be seen driving towards St. Michales is as about as accurate as saying he was heading towards NY City...St. Michaels is near where I grew up OVER the Chesapeake Bay the bottle neck of the Bay Bridge he can't avoid...and being detected by cameras or by the toll booth workers......

I think Michaels is the patron Saint of police officers.

Golly who knows...now we have the "terrorism" theory opening up again...I was almost hoping it was a "Lone crazy white honky cracker"....I pray that it isn't a terrorism cell...that means they could pack up and move to another location (large/small city) and start all of this ALL over again! EGADS!!!
