He worked in an imaginary Clinton administration which had conservative NC values. He negotiated the balanced budget. He supported Family Leave, Liddy didn't. He'll save Social Security by doing nothing, Liddy will take the lockbox to Atlantic City and gamble away the trust fund. He'll support Bush and the war on terror, Liddy will take away old people's checks. 'His' administration gave GIs their biggest raise, Liddy'll have em on food stamps.
He really came across as the pencil necked geek he is. Too bad only about 7 people in NC watched. The NCGOP should be able to get a few good ads out of it.
Liddy came across as calm, cool, collected, sounded way to liberal for me as they both fought for the muddy middle.

PErhaps she's a moderate but she's a moderate who will vote for Bush's judicial nominees. Any port in a storm and with half this nations judges appointed by Klink, the storm is coming.

I agree. I think she came across pretty well, but have no idea what the AVERAGE voter would think. In a state that elects Jesse Helms and John Edwards, who knows!
I always cringe when she talks about a prescription drug benefit being added to Medicare. Way too moderate, but she is definitely better than Irksome.

I think that may be why Bowles keeps baiting her to fight for the center with all that old-folks-and-veterans stuff. She should be throwing them red meat -- namely, chunks and haunches of Mr. Pencil-Neck. She oughtta remind them that this guy was a bellboy who spent five years wet-vacuuming the Oval Office rug.
