And I have never seen an American-raised person use the spelling with a "G."

It is done all the time out here in Kali when criminals commit a crime in a fairly common car.

Years ago I had my front license plate on my company car stolen. I reported it to my boss, and he reported to the head of company security. He called Ca. DMV to report the theft of the plate, and told me to go down and get some new plates.

At first I was a little upset. About a week later after I had new plates, my old license number was seen on a car leaving a robbery in the LA area. I live north of SF.

How does the 223 compare to a 243. I have a Remington 660 with a Redfield 3 X 9 scope. Used it when I hunted Blacktail Deer here in NW Ca. It is a short barrel lite gun.

No one on this site uses the G spelling. So this may lead to a geographical place that uses the G.

I believe that one of the old green enviral terrorist links that I had, used the G spelling. I think the guy writing and urging the Gihad was German.

The definition of a high powered round is any round fired in your direction, regardless of velocity, bullet weight, diameter, or muzzle energy...

And a "near miss" is something that you personally can report.

Either the guy from Baltimore is being set up by somebody else who's part of this ring (hypothetical) or he's part of this ring and he's supposed to get caught and then say nothing to cover for the cell.

Remember Moussaui clammed up and maybe could have spilled the beans about 9-11?

Or, the cops aren't talking about the Baltimore guy so they don't get sued Richard Jewell style.

Was it a temporary tag? I know license plates always get stolen but who steals a temp tag? That kind of stupidity asks for a cop to pull them over.

Lucky for me, my kids and I were discussing the "K/C/Ch/G/J/I/Y" substitutions in the various languages over the weekend. That's why I guessed the Germans would spell it "gihad".

Now that you mention it, I think Jewell did it.

"Or, the cops aren't talking about the Baltimore guy so they don't get sued Richard Jewell style."

That sounds plausible.

"He further revealed that "Jihad " was misspelled with a "G"!

Bet he'll be "flustrated" when he realizes he spelled it wrong!

Is it possible that this guy was planning on going for the reward by tooling around the DC area after the shootings occur, thus he has a scanner and a weapon and various electronic gear?

No I had the tag for over a year.

We have two plates here in Kali. When they steal the tags, they will often just steal the front tag as the cops only check the rear tag. Then they will just cover their rear license plate with the stolen rear one.

Don't ask me why the criminal mind ever does what it does. I now check the tags on our vehicles on a regular basis.

I am merely building on the amazement that this guy could have so many things go wrong in his life so suddenly.

Probably taking lifestyle tips from Gary Condit.

While of some interest, I wouldn't put too much weight on the spelling. Either "J" or "G" works phonetically in English. I once knew a guy, at AFROTC field training at Vandenberg AFB, whose name was "Geronimo", but whose was called "Gerry". When he was a kid, he thought it was "Jerry" or "Jeronimo", and "tatooed" a "J" onto his hand with pen. It was still there 15 or so years later. (He came from a "rough" neighborhood, but was our flight fire marshall and was very concentious about his duties, every night at lights out, he would go down the halls on both floors of our quarters, yelling "unlace your boots", which we all did, and so the night we had the fire drill about an hour after lights out, we all had our boots on, along with our "army" blanket, while we waited in the fog for the all clear, the same could not be said of everyone in the other flights in the encampment :) )

Web search shows German pages using this spelling.

Ah!! Someone has been doing good work :)).

I'd lay a moderate bet that this critter is indeed involved. I'd further lay a moderate bet that his girlfriend wanted out.
