Two police officers are shot each and every day in the US, should the Feds get involved in those shootings as well?

Only if a Federal crime was involved.

If your answer is no, are these police officers then somehow less important than the border agents?

No, the state and local police are no less important, but if they get shot, that is a state or local matter, not a federal matter, unless a federal crime was committed.

By not addressing the daily shooting of police officers in the US is "RINO" Bush failing to do his job?

No, it is a state or local issue. The states have governors and mayors to address those issues. GWB's job is federal, not state and local.

Is being shot by a Mexican smuggler somehow more injurious than being shot by a Harlem junkie?

No, but this article is about Mexican drug smugglers shooting a a Federal Officer, not some junkie shooting a local officer.

This shooting is a direct result of the President’s failed border policy. Try and stay with the issue of the article and thread.

The shooting is a direct result of a smuggler being caught in the act by a LEO. The fact that it happened at the border gives reason for those who wish to blame every single item of any significance on the president.

I see a president and a Federal Government actively engaged in pursuing the murderers of over 3,000 American citizens, I have yet to see the connection made between the US-Mexican border, and the attacks on 9/11.

It's unfortunate that this agent was wounded, but clashes at the border are in no way a development unique to the Bush administration.

Or is that what you're suggesting?
