Hats off to the University of Texas, one of the top academic institutions in the country, for a game well played.
Also for having a cool mascot, stupendously good-looking cheerleaders, one of the most inspiring fight songs in all of college football played by one of the best bands. Also, Austin is a beautiful city and an excellent setting for higher learning, located in one of the most beautiful parts of the great state of Texas.

No, I'm a Sooner born... I just see a lot to like in the University of Texas. They really do have all that cool stuff, and their cheerleaders make the USC girls look like Tuesday nite dates.
I recall in days past they even had this really cool big ol' bass drum that they'd wheel out on the field on a truck, with a crew of a half-dozen or so guys pushing and pulling it. Even one of my best friends is a UT grad.
What else can I say?

My sentiments, exactly.

I did my part to assure the Sooner victory.
No west-coast broadcast of the game...so I'm hoping for a repeat of two years ago.
I don't see a regular season game...they win the National Champsionship.
Oh well, some sacrifices must be made...

Thanks for winning graciously. We, of course, are sick at our stomachs and mad as hell that the coaching staff seemed to be playing not to lose instead of playing to win like OU.
Not to knock Chris Simms, but they treat the guy like a China doll. Wouldn't hail Mary it with 5 seconds left before halftime because we still had the lead... IOW, Chris might throw another interception and lose his "confidence". B.S.!!! The second half, the lame brain coaches never called plays where he threw on 1st or 2nd down. Unfriggingbelievable! Hybl didn't let interceptions bother him. I swear, Mack Brown and his staff are a touchy feely group. Worrying about the QB's psyche lost them this game. Simms should have been able to lose it on his own.

I'm a Husker fan. When is the season over?

Thanks. I'm pretty depressed. :<

Yes, I blame the play calling more than Simms. Simms didn't play poorly, but he didn't play great either. The play calling was awful. I hope Mack gets his act together soon.

I agree!!!! Great Game. Beautiful, Classy Cheerleaders.

So is Oklahoma going to be the Big 12 team that Oregon thumps this year?

We still have it, but I don't think we take it on the road much; not every stadium has room for it on the field.

I was upset with the game until I found out the Oklahoma running back was from my hometown, Humble, TX. Now it's not so bad.
