First of all, if another shooting occurs while the present two suspects are in custody, the previously archived info will assume tremendous importance as to any possibly minute differences between any post-arrest shootings and the previous incidents. I know we all hope that eventuality does not come to pass, but it's best to be prepared in the event that it does.
Secondly, I have yet to hear that the rifle and its ammunition have yet been confirmed to have been linked to the ballistic evidence from the murder case in Alabama, where they've issued an extradition order for the pair in connection with a murder with a rifle that took place during a holdup there, and in which Malvo's fingerprint was identified. Unlike those eastern state jurisdictions, Alabama does indeed still utilize the death penalty, via either the electric chair or lethal injection, and the next scheduled execution there is of a murderer whose victim was killed during a robbery at a time when the perpetrator waqs a juvenile. That may offer some interesting incentives for Malvo to turn state's evidence before he's sent there to pay for his crimes in that state....
These events are far from concluded....
