My husband and I just discussed this. How many of you men would leave your wife behind? If she would have to catch another flight, why wouldn't they both just wait or the wife go on and the husband fly later?
There are just too many variables. In my case, there were four of us and only 3 could fit onto the helicopter. We all opted to wait another day when all four could go, but I really could have stayed behind. I wasn't too keen on the idea after reading about the high number of copter crashes in Hawaii. I think my husband was hoping he might be able to talk me into it later. lol. The flights were cancelled the rest of our stay due to the volcano erupting and clouding the skies with ash. I would not have had a problem staying behind. Had we known the flights would be cancelled, I'm certain my husband would have gone without me. It would have meant much more to him than to me.
Unless there is foul play involved, I don't think it's that unusual that he went without her. jmo.
That seems very strange to me too. Particularly as they were honeymooners.
