Latest lie from Drug Czar (Keep children's drug education from going to pot)
Iowa State Daily ^ | October 10, 2002 | Zach Calef

Posted on 10/11/2002 6:44:36 AM PDT by MrLeRoy

Drug Czar John Walters and groups such as Freevibe [wholly funded by Walters' ONDCP] have stepped up the campaign to prevent children from using drugs. This year a total of $180 million will be spent by the federal government to pay for commercials that Walters said give viewers "tangible, real-world examples of what can go wrong when teens use marijuana."

[...]

The latest "real life" situation is the most ridiculous of any yet. Freevibe is the organization behind it.

Two young boys are sitting around smoking a water bong in a parent's office. As they are talking, one sitting behind a desk finds a hand gun.

He picks it up and the other boy, sitting across from him, asks if the gun is loaded. The kid with the gun points at the other boy, says no and pulls the trigger. Turns out the gun was loaded after all. The ad then reads marijuana "distorts reality."

Why don't you losers get a life. Seriously. It isn't that I don't agree with you, I personally think pot should be legal, but my God... talk about beating a dead horse. Drugs will ALWAYS be illegal because the AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT THEM THAT WAY. If you have any doubts about this, simply examine the futile efforts of Libertarians (aka Loonytarians) to get elected to any significant position of power. People simply don't jive with the drugs/hookers political philosophy. This is the issue "War on Drugs" The horse is DEAD people. Get over it. Get a life, move on.

that is what they said about alcohol during prohibition. The war on drugs can be compared to prohibition(weed anyway). The war on drugs(wod) would be much better off if weed were legal. The wod would be more focused on harder narcotics and violent offenders.

Wow...thats....I mean.....wow

That's really sad.

Being on pot does NOT screw with your judgement in the way that alcohol does. I could see this being a belivable scenario on alcohol, but pot? Give me a break.

Imagine if they did do this with booze. Every major booze lobbiest would be trying to get the DEA defunded....

Drugs will ALWAYS be illegal because the AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT THEM THAT WAY.

Then let's get a constitutional amendment to authorize the drug war, and stop relying on the New Deal Commerce Clause for it.

Joe Toke's wasting his money is a very different animal from the government wasting Joe Toke's money.

Drugs will ALWAYS be illegal because the AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT THEM THAT WAY.

And Congress will ALWAYS be big-spending because the AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT IT THAT WAY. So I guess we should stop criticizing Congressional big spending.

RE: "AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT THEM THAT WAY. " (illegal)

The people that want them that way aren't so American. There are those that conduct the WOD and profit from the booty and their position's remunerations. There are those that sell it at the top of the food chain which profit financially more so when the prices go up from interdiction. There are those in Government profiting from the easy distraction which the WOD provides from issues of importance.

Then again there are those AMERICAN CITIZENS out there being warred upon by an EVIL spirit of unconstitutional nature bent on controlling the minds of the populace through FALSE PROPAGANDA and DEADLY FORCE directed by a CZAR.

You point is well taken, and there is yet another.

These people argue that drugs must be legalized; that is, the relationship of a person and public (represented by the government) must be changed. Whereas this is a valid issue for a discussion, the advocated ALWYS leave out another aspect: why would you concentrate so much on legalizing something that is DEBASING and deprives you of your WILL, your full capacity to do and be GOOD?

In other words, why do you spend your life on advocating vice, even if you think that the government should not stand in your way?

They never touch that side of the issue. But filth is filth, whether or not it is legal.
