Maybe the reporters were satisfied, but you don't need a CNC 5 axis horizontal boring mill to plane cylinder heads for cars. The control pictured here is a Siemens (I think), and the mill is German as well. Go figure. The part on the table doesn't look to be so innocent either. (Bulkhead?)

Does anyone else find the picture of the woman talking on her cell phone as she gets strapped to a gurney strange? It really struck me as weird.

Man...these people in these miserable dust-blown countries suffer just by being there, then they get brutalized by their rulers, and customs. How truly sad. How can they even begin to comprehend liberty, after being under the boot and lash for so long...basically forever.

No it wasn't wierd. She was probably freaked and wanted to call her husband or other family members right away. I can understand as I would probably do that if I found myself in a similar situation. I could really relate to the two pictures of the girl in the green outfit with the bandage on her head who was caught in the attack. The expressions on her face say a thousand words.

Wow, that one old guy is doing a lot better than most young American men would carrying that bag of wheat- 50 kilos he's toting around there.

Another thing too that made me chuckle even though it isn't a laughing matter- the two women who were injured by the homicide bomber talking on their cell phones. I've never owned a cell phone- never had an inclination for one and I'm constantly griping in an old man sort of way "when I was a kid I was more interested in having fun, not yapping on the telephone".

Anyway, I think we will look back in 50 yrs at all these pictures of people with their "phone hands" stuck to the side of their faces in any and all situations with amusement (I'm saying I believe we will invent a better method of commo).

To me she looked stunned physically but still in control. Definately one tough person.

This is not weird at all and in fact, as you view more homicide bombings and other terrorist acts---look closley at the survivors who are still conscious ---many of them will use a cell phone to call family and friends to let them know they survived. This is typical in Israel (or so it seems to me) and typical in America during a crisis, a car accident, etc.

Having had two all-expense-paid "vacations" to Saudi Arabia myself, I tend to agree. I can't imagine living there. It's an armpit.

In Lebanon, at the Wazzani river, Lebanese begin diverting water even though they were WARNED by Israel and the US.
