Fox News has 'miked' the reporters at this morning's Chief Moose news conference...FYI for those of you who were going to other channels to hear the questions....
To: Peach
Fox 5 mentioning that the sniper had requested that the Tarot info not be released, this is reason MOOSE was so upset.
MOOSE on now
From a police standpoint, no hard evidence that the Manassas shooting is linked or not linked.
Re:Kensington shooter...shooter in custody in Mental health facility so he can get on with his life...(without stating, this guy is no suspect)weapons were taken from his house.. no info on them. Tip line 888/324-9800...now one line consolidated..
Won't talk about any evidence recovered in Manassas.
White Dodge Caravan lookout is very credible..
BL= no new info

Oh goodie, a commentary where I can vent on Moose!
This guy is a joke!
The reporters ask him "In your experience with snipers and serial killers..."
WHAT EXPERIENCE??? The guy is a joke! He was a lousy cop when he was in Portland. He took the money they contracted him and he ran because he couldn't do the job, and he headed for what was supposed to be a quiet little community, where he is now!!
This case will never be solved by him. They would do better to bring in the Denver PD and have them investigate!

Can't wait until the leftys figgure out how to blame Rush for this.

Well, we'll see how psychic I am...can't solve the case, but I will predict that within the next week there will be a press release and media campaign from PETA requesting that all hunting seasons in Maryland and VA this Fall be closed to "assist the police and reduce confusion in light of recent events" or some such nonsense.
Just watch.

Re. Moose and WUSA...
I called WUSA yesterday (Wednesday) morning after the morning news conference. I couldn't believe the way that they were handling their card scoop. Just after Moose let them have it, they continued to tease the card story.
Can you believe the WUSA "manager's" response when I insisted that they should back off and not interfere with the police investigation? She said, "What about Richard Nixon?"
amazing.
Later in the day... at the afternoon news on WUSA - the brought in their left-wing news hero : Daniel Shorr (NPR) live by phone. I guess WUSA figured they could save face a little bit. But NO! Much to my surprise, Shorr let them have it, too! He said they went too far and should not have run the story.
That was an interesting day for me.

IMHO, we citizens must carry a fresh battery cell phone, camera, and handgun at their side as well as a rifle and shotgun within reach, with adequate ammunition as a hot engagement should be anticipated. (Recall the full-body armored, full auto bank robbers in L.A.?)
We outnumber our cops some 3,000:1; citizens's eyes will see first and so must participate in recording, tracking, and countering=self-defense until overwhelming LE force can arrive. Photograph all people and vehicles which you sense to be curious. Tail and call 911 about any which you suspect.
Don't be shocked if a second vehicle is involved as lookout/backup to hose any accidental first witness/cop on the scene. Expect explosives. (I would recommend for your cars/offices a serious first aid kit heavy with wound bandages/maxi-pads.) Be careful, but be there.
This "crime spree" must be considered war crimes by illegal combatants until the perps are collared. The longer this goes on, the more likely other perps will copy this M.O. whether jihad or not. Mo' ham? No thanks.
We are our militia under our Constitution. Fretting with the sheeple among the defenseless flock is no answer to this clear and present danger. We must ride to the sound of the guns, with something more than curiosity and a desire to be interviewed by ABCCNNCBSNBC.

It's interesting to me that our society is so surprised and aghast that someone would start shooting people.
Haven't we nurtured this type of thing? And glorified violence and killing?
I'm surprised there hasn't been more of this type of thing, maybe in a few more years when all these kids who've been weaned on "Grand Theft Auto 2" videos come of age.
The shooter left the perfect calling card in my opinion, the death card, matches our culture of death.
my two cents.

This shooter(s) is picking target areas with few witnesses where people are out and exposed. I would not be surprised if the next victem is standing in front of an ATM machine or in a phone booth. Gas stations have been targets of choice because they have people out in the open in areas that allow quick escape on major roads. LEO should already be staking out gas stations and as soon as the shooter fears this target another will be chosen. Jogging and other pidestrian activity are at risk as well. To catch this wolf you need to watch the sheep a little closer. A terror group is not going to have a snitch to give this group up. They are going to have to stake out target areas and get lucky and be able to call down lots of resources to box the shooter in after the next incident and yes I would profile a middle eastern person leaving the area.
