Who knows what goes on inside the mind of a Merryland bureaucrat? They should have sprayed the whole area weeks ago. Virginia sprayed side of the river a couple of days after the first cases showed up.

I'd more bet on So Damn Insane or Bin Loon placing the mosquitos here through one of their sicko followers. I'll tell my friend to keep a lookout for those guys. Like I said, he's out on the river all the time. lol

You mean spraying? I know loudoun County has had a contractor out checking for the past month. Don't know if he sprays every day. Last week the town of Leesburg's five traps only caught 7 mosquitos. In July it was 500 a week. I guess spraying works.

Dr. Carol Garvey, Montgomery County's health director, said that a decision will be made in the next 48 hours on whether to spray insecticide in areas where malaria-infected mosquitoes may be breeding.
Montgomery County Executive Douglas M. Duncan plans to seek advice from health and environmental officials before making a decision, health officials said. What possible reason could there be to wait? Sadam's threats of biological warfare pale in comparison to the threat posed by people like Carol Garvey and Douglas Duncan. Sadam is half a world away, these people are right outside the nation's capital.

I know I am in Texas, which makes me slow and so stupid, so maybe you can help me sort out these facts.
The West Nile Virus got series(he had to do that) in the greater DC area this year and spread all the way to the west coast. Malaria, started in the DC area this year. In November last year antrax showed up in addition to other places in DC. In 2001, a Jet Liner crashed into a government building in DC.
Malaria was eradicated in the US years ago, West Nile Virus, showed up in a few cases in 99 in New York, now has killed several people.
A sniper shows up kills several men, women, and sadly, severely wounded a child. Where did that take place? DC metro area?
I see the facts shouting at me and I also see our governments denial of those same facts. Sadly they know that 99.9% of our population are either in denial or are sheeple.
If I am wrong, I am sure one of my free thinking FReepers, will take me to task. Go for it...

My doctor picked up 6(six) cases of Typhus here in California. Worse yet the idiot EEOP who was the "public health officer" and not a physician ordered them released from the hospital. My doc said Ok moron the fever will spike in about(I forget the number of days) it did.Plus they demonstrated a whole host of other symptoms clearly indicating Typhus. God help us all!

My great grandmother died of malaria in Missouri around the turn of the century.
It is time to bring back DDT. The benefits outweigh the risks to human life right now. When is the PC insanity going to stop?

"Our diversity is our strength," "our diversity is our strength"...Let's all repeat that and remember the words of the great publicist Josef Geobbels who said "Public opinion is like an organ that I play according to my needs."
