I respect their elevation of theft to the level of fine art;
I appreciate that everything I own is theirs, if they can take it without getting caught;
I respect them as one would respect a rattlesnake;
I appreciate that they leave a wake of destroyed lives in their 'travels'.
A Gypsy who doesn't travel and steal doesn't need to have seven identities, and is, no longer, a Gypsy.
To be a Gypsy is to embrace and practice thievery--that is an element of their culture that they must abandon if they are to live in peace with this neighbor.
