"If you arrest a Traveller and hold him for trial, his family has real hardship,"

So what are the authorities supposed to do? Develop mobile courts to follow them around? The rest of us have to show up in court, and it costs us, regardless of the matter of guilt, so why not the Travelers, Gypsies or just plain migrant workers of any sort?

That's right, he cannot fleece anyone while he's in jail, therefore his family will suffer.
