We wouldn't have made them if we didn't think it was true."

This is another example of campaiging on an issue that will not take one vote away from Davis. It will not cause one undecided voter to vote for Simon. It will turn some voters away from Simon.

How many times did Gore and Clinton collect money in the White House with no controlling legal authority. How many times has this kind of issue been floated with no impact before Simon figures out this story won't work.

Davis would have had to take the money for personal luxury to make it work with voters. A couple of Rolex watches and a time piece to be named later can do a candidate in as the Torch can attest. But collecting campaign money from anyone, anytime, anywhere is a worthless issue with the center and Democrats.

Simon has to be stuborn with an I.Q. of about 80 to do all the stupid things he has done. When you are in a hole the firt rule is to stop digging. Simon keeps trying to get a bigger steam shovel.

Only Bill Simon has what it takes to re-elect Gray Davis.

Re#5 You are right on the message front. Simon is trying though the presstitutes are doing their best to drown out any such message. It is still trickling out, under the radar, via talk radio, the internet and targeted campaigning. As to yet another 'allegation' of campaign offenses/bribery, at a minimum it keeps the corruption factor out front--the main reason that Grayout is in trouble (along with the energy crisis). We're looking at record low turnouts as well, which is good for Simon, provided he has a GOTV effort. Lastly, many thinking Rats hate Davis. I know one who (was forced) to give a PAC $2,000 for Davis, but is still not going to vote for him. Simon is going to surprise once again....
