[history]
The amorphous "change" message that has resonated throughout the governor's race has put Democratic nominee Mazie Hirono on the spot.
If there was any doubt that tens of thousands of voters want change, it was settled by Hirono's close victory over maverick Democrat Ed Case. He tapped into a vein of restless Democrats and independent voters clearly dissatisfied with things as they are, and became the symbol for the theme of change. Analysis A narrow victory in the primary leaves Democrat Mazie Hirono needing to woo voters eager for change. But the veteran Hawai'i politician faces a clear disadvantage in trying to seize "change" as a theme of her campaign.

Don't' ya just love how the Democrat/Union/Socialist machine cannot stand paraphrased cliche's such as:
..."the Truth shall set you free!", or "the Truth is Out There".
Nyah, what the hell does the truth matter when you own (politically) the newspapers and the major radio stations?

Nobody talks about how she dropped out f the race when she felt Jeremy Harris (who may end up in jail) was going to win the demo bid. Suddenly she really, really wanted to be mayor of Honolulu. When Harris slithered off, she decided she really, really want to be governor (again). Why would people vote for her? Oh, the same reason they would vote for a dead candidate.

Hirono is the only thing person the Dems have that has not been connected to any current exposed financial scandal, as of yet.
By sheer rational thinking, she was never in the loop, never knew what was going on in the government of Hawaii, never participated in the "thought process" of making any governmental decisions, and like AlGore, virtually a deaf, dumb, blind, nameless and useless organ of the Hawaii machine, much like AlGore's bodily appendix.
Hirono is a puppet, much like John D. Waihee...
