Is the future of Michigan really about reparations for slavery? One would think so from the state Republicans' latest divide-and-conquer efforts to hang onto the governor's office. This week's GOP attacks on Democrat Jennifer Granholm aren't even subtle about pitting whites against blacks and Detroit against the rest of Michigan.

It's the people's office. The people have given Kilpatrick permission to use it to conduct the people's business. The people have every right to know what's going on in that office and for the mayor to assert otherwise smacks of imperialism."............I wonder if that was his view of the "Sink Emperor" when he was conducting the peoples business in the oral office sink?
