A federal judge in Detroit on Friday granted a request by a Dearborn man, charged with smuggling counterfeit checks, that prosecutors use his American name.
Omar Shishani, 48, was born Omar Abdel-Fatah Al-Shishani but shortened that when he became a U.S. citizen in 1989.

Probably true; in America, the only people with more than a first and last name are murdered politicians and their assassins. If he's alive and has more than two names there's an inherent presumption of guilt.
