"Wardaddy," why are you afraid to say "God" when you don't mean it flippantly or irreverently? What is wrong, in your opinion, about mentioning God in regular conversation?

It's just a habit when I'm using written expression on a public forum. As I've confessed here ad nauseum, I'm far from pious. My own personal language amongst adult male friends of like mind is rather.....salty.
It's just my little feeble attempt at respect for our creator. I know a lot of evangelicals and orthodox jews do the same but I'm neither.
I'm a bit inconsistent I admit. I refrain from spelling G-d yet I use the the vernacular for excrement on some threads if I'm angry.

I explained myself without answering your question. I'm not afraid nor do I think others are wrong for writing out G-d's name. It's just my choice....or perhaps eccentricity.
