Didn't some people here predict that the moon phase would start the attack Oct. 6th? Now this is getting interesting.
To: tip of the sword
Interesting .... especially considering the new moon falls in the next few days.

I'm guessing he's just going to announce that he's got the support of congress to do this. But, what do I know?

Is he going to release the info on the jet terrorist training facilities at Salmon Pak?
To: tip of the sword
Gee....does this mean the UN really IS irrelevant??? Cool.
To: I still care
I wouldn't be surprised if it opened the start of the long awaited Iraq campaign. The U.S military is in place and only needs a Presidential directive to roll.

The bombing of Afganistan, remember, started on Oct. 7 of last year.

Is it high noon and Bush is calling Daschle out ?
To: I still care
I have been saying Oct. 6th since this Summer for various reasons. It has to be before the Nov. elections, it needs to be before the Iraqi referendums on Oct. 15th, and the New Moon is on Oct. 6th. Oct. 6th is also the one year anniversary of the date that we first hit Afganastan last year.
Maybe Bush will come on Monday, and say "Oh, by the way, we started attacking Iraq yesterday."

Someone posted yesterday that the next new moon is Oct 6 (Sunday)and the one after that is Nov 4 (day before election day). Early next week would be a good time to go but my understanding is that the Congressional vote won't take place until next week. Going the day before the election is something Billy-boy would have done - but not W. Although he could go a day or two after the election and still reap the benefits of a dark night sky, I think we are looking at late November at the earliest..
I think his address will be a prep speech getting everyone up to speed on the Congressional approval and the UN failure. This is just my speculation. I would like nothing more than to hear the planes are on their way next week.

He is going to tell people that despite what the UN's been putting out, the 'full and unfettered' access we are demanding isn't so full and unfettered. By then, he'll have congressional approval and if he's really hitting on all cylinders, he will provide previously unknown intelligence to back up his actions.

This speech will be BEFORE congress votes on the resolution, so I suspect this will be an appeal to the country to support the resolution.
