Toricelli finally did right thing by resigning seat

He quit his re-election campaign for the U.S. Senate seat that he has dishonored and abused.

That was the right thing to do, but he may have done it too late to help Democratic voters in New Jersey who might like a chance to vote for a party nominee without a huge ethical cloud.

He didn't "resign his seat." He decided not to seek re-election and successfully had himself removed from the ballot.

The court may not want to be influenced by this unique situation into setting a precedent whereby candidates buried at the polls - as Torricelli was - can bow out after the deadline in hopes that their party can conjure a candidate with a better chance to win.

Boy, was this guy wrong. The NJ Soprano Court did indeed allow it.
IMPEACH AND REMOVE THE NEW JERSEY SOPRANO COURT!!

Why is he not being prosecuted? Just because Mary Jo White failed to bring charges doesnt mean they can't be brought now.
