Yeah. And the passivity of you older conservatives has really led me to inheriting a great nation. There was a time for McArthur....and there is AGAIN a time for McArthur. Passivity will only get us killed. I refuse to be silenced and "play the game". What is right is right. Period.
There is an old saying, "Never insult the alligator before you cross the stream." IMO this was Newt's biggest downfall. He felt like he had to insult everybody before the battle began. How well did his strategy work? He lost everytime he went up against Bill Clinton, who acted publicly like he was above all the bickering, while Newt himself looked angry, mean and petty.
A wiser strategy is to be publicly agreeable, while working feverish behind the scenes to promote your agenda and kill the Dems. [kill the Dems' agenda, that is.]
