Why should it include alcohol? Alcohol is already kept out of kids' hands about as well as can be done.

More kids are treated for pot use than alochol. That's because kids are being brought before judges and told "treatment or jail" for using pot more often than for using alcohol. Marijuana is far less addictive than alcohol---and it's even less addictive than caffeine.

Right - what are the stats on VOLUNTARY pot addiction treatment? No courts or police involved.

Yes. Do you have any evidence in rebuttal, or just a facial tic?

Why are you so obessed with this? You've posted in this thread as often as I have---who's "obsessed"?
I dont think anyone who is sane supports allowing children access to this things. Do you?
Of course not. The War On Some Drugs has not prevented children from getting drugs; kids can find pot more easilty than cigarettes or beer.
Does your reason for objecting to the government playing a roll in preventing kids from using these things outweight the possibility of saving just one life?
All manner of statism can be excused by "the possibility of saving just one life." That's why "think of the children" is the leftists' rallying cry.

I think it would go a long way towards helping kids realize that using this stuff is a bad choice. How would FDA regulation do that? I'll bet 4 out of 5 kids don't even know what the FDA is.

People of weak character abuse many things! Including alcohol and tobacco. Should those be banned? And why is "weak character" any of the government's business?

You've been dodging the issue. Why are you doing that? The issue was summed up thusly
:That's because kids are being brought before judges and told "treatment or jail" for using pot more often than for using alcohol.
The previous dodge was:
Oh, I see. That's it, eh? (eye roll)
Every single person I've known in "treatment" programs for cannabis has been forced there by a judge or by threat of criminal sanctions. I've know personally and am aquainted with many that know someone that had to take "treatment". None of them volunteered.
If you think there are, provide us with some documentation.
