Clinton: 'War Is Last Resort' (VOMITING TILL YOU DIE ALERT)
Sky News ^ | October 2, 2002 | Sky News

The international community must use the United Nations' route to settle the Iraqi crisis, former US President Bill Clinton said.

President Clinton told the Labour Party conference in Blackpool that the international community could provoke undesirable consequences if it mishandled the crisis over Saddam Hussein.

"We will not allow ourselves to be defeated by tyrants with weapons of mass destruction. That will not happen," he said.

Yes, Bill, you rather tried to appease them before the defeat occured. Or gave them access to America's secrets for campaign cash. - Ivan

"Whatever we do we have to have a care for the security of our nation, the character of our people and the future of our children."

Bill mentioned "the children" at least a dozen times in this nauseating speech - Ivan

Global community

President Clinton stressed the importance of a global community in dealing with poverty, disease and terrorism throughout the world.

Meaning - fork over your cash to them so I can look good, and bomb them whenever you need to cover up dallying with an intern - Ivan

"We must respond in a way that is consistent with the larger obligation we all have to build a more integrated global community.

Who is this 'we', Bill? Ivan

"Of course we have to stand against weapons of mass destruction," he said.

Translation: "They may take out a few hotties I haven't gotten my hands on in the process" - Ivan

He added that Saddam must be dealt with diplomatically, and that military action must be a last resort after the United Nations resolution of "unfettered inspections" is given a chance.

"But if we can we have to do it in the context of building the international institutions that in the end we will have to depend upon to guarantee the peace and security of the world and the human rights of all people everywhere."

Clintonian meaningless blather - Ivan

World's problems

President Clinton voiced his support for Prime Minister Tony Blair, and told the conference that the world's problems would only be solved through politics.

"Politics matters and even if you're a former president there are some things we can accomplish for the common good only through the common institution of our elected representatives," he said.

"The world has a whole lot of problems but we haven't had the chance to bring it together for very long.

"So we should be upbeat and grateful your party is in power at a time when you have the chance to make all the difference."

OK:

Now what else he said. He said that he and his people and the Third Way is based on "ideas", meanwhile, we conservatives are prisoners of "ideology". He criticised President Bush, saying he disagreed with him on "everything" and nattered on about the "children" and talked about "education" and "health care" and how his vile wife calls Washington DC an "evidence free zone".

I will post more when I have it, but what a festival of vomiting and disgust. Including praise for Nelson Mandela.

Regards, Ivan

Isn't this the same Bill Clinton who sought and received congressional approval for a regime change in Iraq? Who thought nothing of lobbing a few cruise missles in to district us from his impeachment?

Just when I think I can't be any more disgusted by the ex-pres, he goes and does something that pushes me over the edge again. Sheesh. I wish he'd just shut up and go away. Hasn't he done enough damage?!

"Pentagon says at least one US serviceman killed in bombing near Philippines "

Will Baghdad Bonior offer comfort to the men who killed this young serviceman, or maybe spit in the eye of the young man's mother? How about calling his Commander and Chief a liar? Come on creepy democrats, step up to the plate.

Typical Clinton: pretend to defend the institution while implicitly defeating its purpose. If the UN was designed to promote collective security, its mission has utterly failed. It now serves only as a joint defense team for petty thugs and menacing dictators, obstructing any attempt at international security. Why should we be surprised that Clinton would support it? -- he knows all about obstruction.

Well it was classic Bill, paying homage at the altar of vile leftism. He even praised Nelson Mandela at the start, saying that he had visited him and was doing what Mandela told him to do. It's funny, but you can criticise God all you like in front of the Labour Party, but criticise Mandela at your peril.

It really burns me that these socialist whackos will call that slime Clinton by "President", yet refer to President Bush as "Bush"

So he actually accepts now he is no longer President? That's a first! :-)

Yes...he has.

But he's a special genetically altered brand of weed that won't go away until it withers and dies.

His statement has however, erased any doubts I might have had about the validity of this war proposal.

Everyday that passes makes the ammendment limiting presidential time look better and better. Without it, we wouldn't have been able to dynamite this slime-ball out of office.

Unfortunately the slender reed that does most of his thinking requires too many interns to keep it withered. ;)
